OPUS 12 Foundation
  • OPUS 12 Foundation is dedicated to advancing medical research and committed to scientific review and educational activities.
  • OPUS 12 areas of research interest include traumatology; emergency medicine and surgery; burns; critical care and related medical-surgical-anesthesia fields; wound care; and treatment-related complications.
  • OPUS 12 Foundation aims to fulfill its educational mission through establishing a 1-year Research Fellowship program. The program, with target enrollment of 2-3 Research Fellows per year, will include a mix of didactic (biostatistics and bioprotocol) and clinical research education. The program plans to consider physicians, physician assistants, and nurses for enrollment.
  • OPUS 12 Foundation aims to publish its research both nationally and internationally in order to reach scientific and public audiences around the globe. Our publications include OPUS 12 Scientist, our bi-monthly online journal as well as a number of Internet Wikis dedicated to topics related to OPUS 12 Foundation's mission.
  • OPUS 12 Foundation recognizes that being a physician entails a leadership role, and we plan to sponsor multi-disciplinary activities and discussion panels that incorporate physicians as well as other professionals and scientists to discuss major issues and crises facing our society and our world.
  • Finally, recognizing that our role as leaders is not complete without leaving an educational legacy to those who follow in our footsteps, the OPUS 12 Foundation plans to develop and implement continuing medical education and various review programs and activities.
